Mind the Maze (iOS & Android)
Last updated: 19 July 2026
This policy explains how the Mind the Maze app on iOS and Android collects, uses, and protects your information. We only collect what the app needs to work, and we do not sell your personal data.
Account & identity
You sign in with email. We store your email and username so we can identify you and run your account.
Your photos and captures
Labyrinth photos and related capture details (for example which station and when) are stored so we can show your collection in the app. If you set a profile photo, that is stored too. We do not use this content for advertising.
Location
Location is used only to show your position on the map and to help find nearby stations. We do not sell or share your location with third parties for their own purposes.
Camera and photo library
We ask for access to the camera and photo library only so you can take and upload labyrinth photos and save annotated images. We do not access your photos for any other reason.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to host accounts, app data, and files, including Google (Firebase). Their processing of your data is covered by Google's Privacy Policy. We may also use analytics or crash reporting solely to understand how the app is used and to fix problems — not to track you across other apps or sites.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account and associated data from within the app, or request deletion by email. Step-by-step instructions and what gets removed are on our account deletion page.
Contact
For privacy-related questions or requests (for example access, correction, or deletion of your data), use our contact page.
